We talk to Louise McConnell owner of Nail & Beauty Co Training Academy to find out more about what their business offers and what drives them to succeed.
Louise trained in Nail Enhancements in 2000. Having opened her first salon in 2001, the Training Academy was launched in 2010 teaching Nail and Beauty courses. Louise is based in Bournemouth, UK and Marbella, Spain.

At Nail & Beauty Co we have an extensive range of training courses should you have the desire to want to work in the beauty industry. Our highly qualified educators have extensive experience in the industry, and you will benefit from an astute team of accredited advisors and courses.
We specialise in small groups for that very personal, relaxed training experience. Our 1-2-1 courses, tailor made to suit you, and our refresher courses are very popular.

1-2-1 Training Available
We offer training to young learners that may have anxiety or learning difficulties, with
1-2-1 teaching in a relaxed environment, that may suit some students better than a full classroom.
All our courses are accredited by ABT Association of Beauty Therapists, ensuring you can gain insurance on completion of each course. These courses are recognised within the beauty industry, allowing you to work in salon or mobile.
What was your first job?
Working in a kiosk at Poole quay selling doughnuts.
What got you into the industry originally?
I attended a nail course to be able to do my own nails, and loved it!
What training do you offer to potential students?
All nail and beauty training courses.
What’s your most popular course?
All In The Eyes! Course content includes; brow tint & shape, brow Lamination, eyelash extensions and lash lift.

What drives you to succeed?
Being able to offer my skills to others in an industry I love!

My daughter.

Being the No 1 training academy in Dorset.
What are your plans for 2024?
We’re moving into our new, bigger premises in January. And have some exciting new courses being added next year and launching our very own product range.
