As the weather gets colder, people start to turn on the heating and we take a lot of calls from Tenants that their boiler isn’t working or some of the radiators are not getting hot.
A common issue is that the condensate pipe from your boiler freezes – which stops the boiler from working. Whilst there are videos online to help, we’ll always try and talk our Tenants through how to get the boiler going to try and save costly call outs for our Landlords.There is nothing worse than being cold if the heating stops working, so Fleur recommends that our Tenants purchase a couple of portable heaters – just in case!
We know that the cost of energy is a real worry for everyone, but it’s really important that properties are kept warm in the winter to avoid allowing the property to become too cold as this could result in the property becoming damp and mouldy, which in turn could impact on Tenants health. There is lots of advice and handy tips available online to help keep warm this winter.
