Established in 1998, Forest Tandoori is the only Indian Takeaway to win this award in the south of Hampshire which we are absolutely delighted with!
The Good Food Awards recognises the hard-working teams who strive for culinary excellence within their field. Based upon customer feedback, nominations and votes, our business, demonstrated exceptional levels of food quality, service and value when compared to the industry benchmarks in this category.
We pride ourselves in offering original authentic style cuisine using only the freshest ingredients. All our food is prepared using only natural spices in an open-view kitchen and cooked using low cholesterol vegetable oil, with less salt, with an emphasis on improving taste and quality whilst heeding to demands for healthy eating options. With our consistent 5* hygiene rating, we ensure our food leaves a lasting impression on our customers taste buds!

During the first national lockdown, Forest Tandoori Indian Takeaway gave away free hot takeaway meals to front-line staff and matched the donations of our customers who wanted to donate a free hot meal to hard-working staff. New Forest Lymington Hospital, St. Johns Ambulance service and Belmore Lodge Care Home in Lymington were the establishments which benefitted. This was our way of saying thank you for their selfless sacrifice in keeping us safe.
Formed in 2002, the Good Food Awards are based on quality, service and value as well as customer feedback. A Good Food Award spokesman added: “With some 536,954 easting establishments within the UK competition for our Good Food Award was unsurprisingly tough. We were taken aback by the record number of entrants and votes cast for the finalists by readers, customers, and fans alike. It was heart-warming to see the support our finalists received given the adversity everyone faced.”
