Steve replied: “BAR is the removal industry trade body. Members are required to adhere strictly to the BAR code of practice, meeting the following minimum standards for quality and service:
- Provide you with a clear description, price and timetable for the work carried out.
- Offer insurance or other protection options.
- Provide suitable quality materials for packing.
- Vehicles and warehouses meet BAR requirements
- Provide professionally trained staff.
- Advice should things not quite go according to plan.
And naturally, the Code requires all BAR members to be courteous, competent, and committed to providing a high standard of service.” Steve added: “when moving outside of the UK it’s very important your removal company is a member of the BAR Overseas group, as non overseas group members only offer guarantees on UK-UK Moves. Choosing an established quality removal company who are members of the British Association of Removers (BAR) will minimise the risks and your stress levels on the day”.
