BEAF 2023 Arts Festival

BEAF 2023 is a multi-artform festival taking place in Bournemouth from 16-25 June.

The countdown is on to the BEAF 2023 Arts Festival! Visitors can look forward to ten days of exhibitions, performances, workshops and family friendly events across Boscombe.

Highlights for BEAF 2023 include:

Boscombe World by artist Harold Offeh
Boscombe World is an adventurous visual and sensory installation in BEAF’s pop-up arts space and former department store, Boscombe Arts Depot. A family friendly exhibition, inviting curiosity and play. Suitable for all ages.

BEAF Arts Pavilion
An interactive space on Boscombe’s precinct (next to Costa Coffee) for free talks, performances and workshops. Expect everything from kids’ colouring to screen printing and nature crafts. Daily between 11-6pm from 17-25 June.

Live music at the O2 Academy
BEAF 2023 kicks off with a launch party at Bournemouth’s O2 Academy. BCUC is bringing funk, hip hop and Afro punk energy all the way from Soweto. BCUC will be supported by Harare.

Immersive acrobatics
Stateless is a dance-circus performance like no other. Blending live Taiko drumming with an awe-inspiring fusion of hand-to-hand acrobatics, the Cyr wheel and graceful contemporary dance for an unforgettable experience.

The Buzztastic Bee-Balancing Blundershow
You might have heard of a flea circus, but what about a BEE circus?! The Buzztastic Bee-Balancing Blundershow is a new, family friendly show from Dorset artists Sophie Fretwell and Bogdan Babei. Prepare to ‘bee’ amazed!

Outsider Art special
Including a whole host of performances, talks, poetry and spoken word from members of The Outsiders Project and beyond, including Si Mack, Scott Lavene, Lady Unchained, John Healy and Issa Loyaan Farrah-Kelly. BEAF 2023’s curated selection of Outsider Art is raw and outstanding quality. Absolutely unmissable.
