That’s right, you heard it here first, US-born chicken brand Slim Chickens is coming to spice up Bournemouth, a destination set to be the hottest ticket in town.
‘Slims’, as it is affectionately known, is quickly building a reputation as one of the up-and-coming restaurant brands in the UK, and it’s chosen Bournemouth for its 13th UK opening at the end of last month, when it threw open the doors from. At Slims, everything is Always Fresh, Always Welcome.
Famous for chicken tenders and huge in the USA, Slim Chickens offers good old Southern Hospitality serving up cooked-to-order premium chicken, with a side of Blues music – creating a relaxed, casual but memorable experience.
With family seating, intimate tables, booths and large platters cooked-to-order and brought to your table in less than 10 minutes, diners can choose the brand’s signature buttermilk-marinated chicken and house specialties include crispy tenders alongside a huge range of 15 dipping sauces. These include Slim’s signature sauce, Blue Cheese, Honey BBQ, Sriracha Garlic and the fiery Inferno – with serious heat!
Also on offer is a wide selection of fresh chicken sandwiches, wings, salads and wraps as well as sides such as fried pickles and mac’n’cheese. Drinks include hand-spun shakes in flavours such as Oreo, popcorn and caramel, a Slims’ IPA and unique cocktails like the Corn Star Martini and Whiskey Smash. Food and great tasting drinks are served up alongside BT Sport, with US sports, Premier League and Champions League shown.
Opening from 10.30am to 11pm (12am on Friday and Saturday) in the popular year-round coastal staycation spot, Slims delivers on every aspect of customer service, working keenly with the local community. It’s set to serve 14,000 Bournemouth University students alongside hordes of town and beachfront visitors holidaying at home this summer, especially families who have to feed a crowd, fancy a night off from cooking or people who want to meet up with friends and bring satisfying conversation to equally satisfying food.
You’ll find Slims occupying 4,500 sq m opposite Hilton’s flagship hotel and the new hang-out spot is close to the Lower Gardens and award-winning beach, within the BH2 shopping centre and next door to the Odeon multiplex. The restaurant can seat more than 100 inside and 30 alfresco.
