Mortgage Squared wins Theo Paphitis award

Mortgaged Squared are excited to announce that they won the Small Business Sunday #SBS!

If you’re not sure what the Theo Paphitis Small Business Sunday award is, then let us explain…

Theo Paphitis is one of the former dragons from TV show Dragons Den, and he created Small Business Sunday, shortened to hashtag #SBS on Twitter, in 2010.

Last week, Mr Simon Rowe, owner of Mortgage Squared Ltd, tweeted Theo about his business during ‘Small Business Sunday’ and was picked as a weekly winner to gain a retweet by Theo to his 500,000 Twitter followers.  The weekly initiative, set up by Theo in 2010, now has over 2500 #SBS winners and supports small businesses in the UK.

Business and retail entrepreneur and self-confessed Shopkeeper, Theo retweeted Simon’s message to his almost 500,000 followers and as a result, Mortgage Squared has hundreds more followers and increased demand for their mortgage and protection advice. They are also profiled on the #SBS website (www.theopaphitissbs.com) that is exclusive to all Small Business Sunday winners.

Next month they will be going along to Theo’s SBS winners’ event in Birmingham to meet the high profile businessman.  The event is held yearly for the 0.68% of applicants who win the accolade.

Simon tells us, “We’ve not long been in business and we have been working hard to raise awareness of our brand. It is great to have support from Theo as it will help to raise our profile.  It’s great that Theo has recognised our hard work and helped spread the word about what we do to his following.”

Small business champion and Ryman Stationery, Robert Dyas and Boux Avenue Chairman, Theo Paphitis, said, “We are thrilled to welcome new #SBS members every week and highlight just how important it is to support our small businesses here in the UK.  My vision is that everyone who has ever won an #SBS re-tweet from me becomes part of a friendly club; like-minded individuals who can share successes and learnings. The website will also give a valuable profile to the winners chosen and I wish Mortgage Squared Ltd every success.”

Simon comments, “We are overwhelmed with the comments and lovely feedback we’ve had, on our Twitter account @MortgageSquared and would like to take the opportunity to say a big thank you everyone.”

Who are Mortgage Squared?
Mortgage Squared was born from the idea that a mortgage brokerage needn’t be cold or complicated, but rather more like a family.  We take pride in being there throughout your journey and we make sure that the level of service you receive is second to none. We build lasting relationships with our customers by getting to know you better, gaining an in depth understanding and appreciation of your individual circumstances.

Our personable team is here to do all the legwork, so that you don’t have to, which means no complicated jargon talk, no pushy representatives and no stress-inducing email chains. As an independent whole of market broker, we can search the whole market, without any biases to find the ideal provider and product for your needs.

Why choose a mortgage broker?
In the words of Martin Lewis from Money Saving Expert:  “The right broker is a big benefit. Far better to go to a broker, than going direct to one lender who will simply try and flog you their own mortgage. They will look at the whole market and possibly bring you better negotiating power. Overall I’m a broker fan!”

Mortgage Squared is a trading style of closer Financial Partners who are appointed representatives of Julian Harris Financial consultants, authorised and regulated by the financial conduct authority no 153566. Your home may be repossessed if you do not keep up repayments on a mortgage or any other debt secured on it.
