Fresh flavours with a stunning view
Delicious dishes, harbour views, and a warm welcome await at this local gem.
Located right on the vibrant Poole Quay, La Mia’s offers not just a meal, but an experience. Its fantastic position, with sweeping views over the harbour and bustling quay, makes it an ideal setting whether you’re looking to enjoy a relaxed afternoon, a leisurely lunch, or a special celebration. The combination of great food and stunning scenery sets the tone for an unforgettable visit from the moment you arrive.

From the outset, our lunchtime visit to La Mia’s promised to be something special. The menu featured a tempting selection of dishes, and we couldn’t resist trying a little bit of everything to truly savour what they had to offer. For starters, we ordered the Halloumi Fries, Tempura Prawns, and the Flatbread with a selection of dips.
The Halloumi Fries were a unanimous hit at the table – perfectly crispy on the outside, deliciously soft on the inside, and utterly moreish. The Tempura Prawns quickly became a firm favourite too, boasting a light, crunchy batter that complemented the sweet, juicy prawns beautifully.
The Flatbread and dips were another real highlight – a generous board featuring Tzatziki, Hummus, Alioli, and Babaganoush. Each dip was packed with fresh, vibrant flavours, and we found ourselves repeatedly reaching for just one more piece of flatbread, almost filling ourselves up before the mains even arrived! It was a brilliant beginning that set high expectations for the rest of the meal.

For our mains, we sampled a range of dishes, each impressively presented and generously portioned. The Surf and Turf with fries was a feast for the senses – tender 10oz sirlion steak paired with succulent prawns, all brought together perfectly with sauteed mushroom and accompanied by seasoned fries. The Stack Burger lived up to its name, towering with a juicy, well-cooked patty, generously topped with bacon and melted cheese, nestled inside a fresh, soft roll, and stacked with all the trimmings one could wish for.

Meanwhile, the Jurassic Vegetarian Delight pizza offered pure comfort food bliss. It was freshly made, loaded with toppings including onions, peppers, tomatoes, olives, and mushrooms, and featured a lovely crispy yet chewy base – a real treat for vegetarians and pizza-lovers alike.
To complement the food, La Mia’s also boasts an excellent cocktail menu, offering a tempting range of classic and contemporary options. We couldn’t resist trying their Strawberry Daiquiri, which was beautifully presented and packed with vibrant, fresh flavour – the perfect refreshing drink to accompany a sunny lunchtime by the quay. With plenty of other cocktails available, it’s a brilliant place to linger a little longer over a drink or two.
La Mia’s is more than just a restaurant – it’s a lively, welcoming venue that also hosts a variety of special events throughout the year. From live music afternoons to themed gatherings, there’s always something happening here to keep guests entertained. It’s well worth keeping an eye on their website and social media pages to catch the latest updates.
In short, La Mia’s is a fantastic choice for a meal out, whether you’re looking for a casual bite, a family gathering, or a catch-up with friends. With its outstanding location on Poole Quay, mouth-watering menu, tempting drinks, and inviting atmosphere, it’s no surprise that it leaves such a lasting impression.
We’ll certainly be back – and if you’re looking for your next favourite spot, we highly recommend you book a table soon!
