Reopening this April, the Dorset Queen invites guests back on board for a new season of relaxed coastal experiences, where heritage meets modern-day moments.
Built in 1938, the Dorset Queen has lived many lives. From wartime service to decades carrying passengers along the coast, she now sails proudly around Poole Harbour as one of the South Coast’s most loved vintage motor yachts.
Carefully restored and full of character, she offers something increasingly rare – the chance to slow down and enjoy time on the water.

Today, Dorset Queen is home to a range of thoughtfully curated experiences. From elegant Afternoon High Tea, a gentle river cruise and traditional Fish & Chips Cruises to the ever-popular Champagne & Oysters Cruise, each journey blends local flavours with the gentle rhythm of the harbour.
It’s an experience designed to be savoured, whether you’re celebrating something special or simply making time to pause.
Entertaining, without the boardroom
Alongside leisure experiences, Dorset Cruises is redefining corporate entertaining for the summer season.
Moving away from formal meeting rooms, businesses are choosing to bring their teams and clients out onto the water, creating space for genuine connection, fresh thinking and memorable moments.
With locally sourced food, options such as onboard BBQs, and panoramic harbour views, each corporate cruise is designed to feel effortless yet considered. Whether it’s a team celebration, client event or strategy day, the experience offers something far more meaningful than the traditional setting.
The return of the Sunday ritual
From May through to September, the Gin & Jazz Cruise returns on the first Sunday of each month.
Guests are welcomed aboard with a refreshing Gin Fizz cocktail before settling in to enjoy live Postmodern Jukebox-style jazz from The Fifinellas. As the Dorset Queen glides through Poole Harbour, passengers can take in views of Brownsea Castle, the Royal Motor Yacht Club and Sandbanks’ iconic coastline, all while enjoying a carefully curated gin menu and a relaxed, speakeasy atmosphere.
With limited tickets available, early booking is recommended for what promises to be one of the highlights of the season.
