Santa’s Arrival by Royal Mail
Santa begins his Westbourne journey at the Post Office. Having checked how many letters have arrived for him, he will head over to the beautiful Victorian Arcade and take a festive stroll around the area. It’s a great opportunity for a memorable Christmas photo with the big man himself, creating memories to cherish for future years.
Meet the Christmas Characters
Immerse yourself in a day filled with enchanting and captivating Christmas performers who will be bringing joy and cheer in their festive gear! Join the merry march with Christmas soldiers, snow fairies and cheeky elves who will be creating a magical atmosphere. These cheerful performers will be popping up throughout the day creating merriment and a touch of sparkle giving you some great photo opportunities.
Meet the charming Donkeys and the cute Bournemouth Goats
For the first time ever, one of the highlights of this year will be a meet and greet with Westbourne’s cuddly donkeys. Families will have the opportunity to meet, pet and even take some selfies! Guaranteed smiles all round as our favourite local Bournemouth Goats have been able to take some time out of their busy schedule on cliff tops to join in the celebrations!
Season Treats and Sweet Delights
It wouldn’t be Christmas without treats for everyone and Westbourne won’t disappoint with a pop-up corn cart that will be serving warm popcorn to purchase and candy floss. Adding a touch of nostalgia to the air. It’s a wonderful way to make the day even sweeter and enjoy a few classic treats as you stroll through the area.

Bournemouth Coastal BID are thrilled to once again host Christmas in Westbourne, bringing the community together and showcasing all our favourite shops and some as yet, undiscovered gems that will be open throughout the day for Christmas shopping. Why not also have a pit stop and pick up a warm drink and a yummy snack or meal in any number of our cafes and gorgeous award-winning restaurants.
