Making space at Christmas

Steve Webber, Director of Maidmans Moving & Storage in Poole, has many years experience in the moving and storage industry.

Steve was recently asked “How can I make space for visitors over the festive season?”

Steve offered the following advice about freeing up some space over the festive period. “If you’re hosting Christmas at your home, it’s best to get prepared as early as possible and look at ways to free up some space. It’s really common to use a spare room as a dumping ground for anything you don’t use very often.

However, if you’ve got family staying, an extra room that’s free from jumble will make the experience far more pleasant for your guests.”

Steve added, “You don’t always have to declutter as sometimes it’s just a case of making better use of the space, we have been asked to assist with moving large items of furniture within the house whilst our customers have a party or family gathering and then replacing them afterwards. We have also held items in storage over the festive period so there are many ways
to  ensure  you  have  sufficient  space.

When it comes to recycling your Christmas tree Maidmans is proud to be supporting local charity Diverse Abilities for its 5th year of Christmas Tree-cycling. To book your Christmas tree collection and recycling for a small donation to Diverse Abilities visit:  www.diverseabilities.org.uk/trees.
