This month we want to show you how to build up the perfect media unit which keeps the space tidy and usable.
Starting with the shape; build bold lines around your television, this helps create a visual flow around the room.
When deciding colours, consider the darkness of your television, especially in a white walled room. Mask your television by matching the unit’s colour then subtly lighten the room by mixing lighter and darker tones of grey as we have done here. Its best to keep darker colours at ground level and lighten the colour as you go towards the ceiling.
Finish off your media unit by mounting the television on matching board which hides all the cables behind without the need to get into the walls which can be expensive.
Once you have the media unit complete, reflect the shape of the unit with the coffee table, use lighter colours on a larger coffee- glass works wonders to reflect light while being an easy to maintain work surface. Go bold with darker colours in a cozy room and add in a touch of personality.
