Whilst Broadview Shading Solutions are known across Dorset and Hampshire for their interior and exterior shading solutions, a recent project took them all the way back to the idyllic Indian ocean island of Mauritius to complete the second stage of an outdoor pergola project.
Contacted by a client in October 2016 who was looking to add shading to the balconies of their luxurious waterside villa, Broadview were keen to assist no matter the distance!
After multiple consultations to understand the client’s requirements and the nature of the property, the Broadview design team recommended two B200XL louvered roof systems for both the upper floor balconies, which totalled an area of over 42 square metres. The client also requested remote controlled LED lighting integrated into the roof for evening use with an integrated electric roller screen for privacy.
Broadview’s operations team manufactured and packaged both systems into one large shipping crate, which arrived in Mauritius six weeks later ready for their three-man installation team to take over. In just 4 days, both the systems had been installed and fully commissioned.
Clearly happy with the end result, the client got back in touch with Broadview in July last year with a view to adding a larger B200 pergola structure to the top floor balcony. Once again, the Broadview installation team were only too happy to oblige and the second phase was completed in January during a 5-day trip, which also saw the build interrupted by a cyclone that struck the island mid-way through the trip!
