Making space at Christmas

Steve Webber, Director of Maidmans Moving & Storage in Poole, has many years experience in the moving and storage industry. Mrs W asked, “How can I make space for visitors over the festive season?

Steve offered the following advice about freeing up some space over the festive  period.

Steve says: “If you’re hosting Christmas at your home, it’s best to get prepared as early as possible and look at ways to free up some space. It’s really common to use a spare room as a dumping ground for anything you don’t use very often.

However, if you’ve got family staying, an extra room that’s free from jumble will make the experience far more pleasant for your guests.”

Steve added “focus on the main areas of the house. Ideally you should aim to clear any clutter from the kitchen, dining room and sitting room, as this is where your  guests will spend most of their time.”

Steve says: “One of the easiest ways to free up space in your home is to put items you don’t need into storage.

Here at Maidmans we are able to offer affordable short-term storage at one of our 16 secure warehouses across the country”.
