Templeton House: Every inch of your household, covered

We had the absolute pleasure of interviewing the charming Louise Temple, a driven individual who saw a gap in the childcare industry and has made it her business (quite literally) to create a thoroughly bespoke domestic and care service. Allow us to introduce: Templeton House Childcare and Household Agency.

The Woman Who Started It All
With twenty years of experience in childcare under her wing, it was a natural progression for Louise to make her mark and show clients and candidates alike what a truly great nanny agency could really be like. I must say I was particularly taken aback by her observable devotion. Louise made a point about being a new kind of agency, an agency that cares about making the right match of candidate to client, she explained “It’s all about finding the ideal match. I’ve been in that position, as a nanny myself, where an agency has sent over many opportunities that don’t often fit my criteria or match my skill set. Ultimately this is unproductive time spent for everyone. Louise explained that by using her thorough pairing process, she can align the right nanny or household assistant to the right family.

Templeton House not only caters for all your childcare needs, such as part or full time Nannies, Maternity Nurses, Holiday and Event Nannies and babysitters. They’re also providing a range of additional Household services too, including Housekeeping, Personal Assistants and Gardeners.

A Service Unlike Any Other
This is a truly bespoke agency. Every stage of the process is customised to fit the client. Take the way Templeton House interviews her applicants for example; every potential candidate goes through an initial questionnaire, one that provokes the answerer to give truthful responses rather than encourage the correct answer. By clarifying candidates’ true characteristics and skills, clients receive the best possible match. In addition to this every candidate is interviewed face to face (whether by Skype or in person). It’s just another personal touch that Templeton House hopes will allow for better understanding of each individual candidate and their personal attributes.

Templeton House has vowed to maintain contact between her candidates and her clients, during the matching process and after securing placements. Louise revealed “A lot of agencies can become lax when it comes to communication, but I want to prove otherwise – by always being on top of my incoming enquires and supporting candidates and clients with advice or any queries they may have. There’s nothing more frustrating than waiting for a response, especially when you consider that those who are seeking childcare, or other household services, are probably people with little time to spare as it is”.

Louise’s official career in childcare began with her role at the former ‘Peterpan Day Nursery’ at the age of 18, whilst working towards her Level 2 in Childcare and Education. Louise continued to work her way up in a range of Children’s Day Nurseries spanning over eight years, progressing to a senior level and gaining other qualifications, including her BTEC Level 3 in Early Years Care and Education. Louise eventually paved her way into the Nanny world where she worked for her first family for four years, before leaving to become a Teaching Assistant in a local private school, where she gained the Early Years Foundation Degree. Louise then utilised her skills and experience and moved to London. Where she worked as a Live In Nanny working alongside other household staff, traveling abroad and experiencing high levels of standards. Through Louise’s experiences she identified the difficulties families, nannies and Household staff face in finding their ideal placement. With her experience and knowledge in the industry Louise feels she can provide this bespoke service for all her candidates and clients.

Childcare Beyond Compare
A lot of people tend to rule-out nannies for fear of extortionate costs and opt for a nursery or playgroup instead, but we really ought to re-think this miss conception. We have so much more to juggle these days and having a nanny can help provide the stability and one to one care and a safety that children need. More over many of us have little control over our working day. These days the once rigid 9-5 is rarely what it claims to be. A nanny can be there to help and cover all unexpected scenarios, that come with busy working families.

Housekeeping
One of the biggest causes of spousal arguments has to be ‘the cleaning’. With many of us disputing over such a mundane task, it begs the question; why stress? For a small fee you could have someone experienced to do this for you. Which means more time to do the things you really want to do. Templeton House has a specialist division dedicated to finding local, reliable and highly skilled housekeepers.

Press for Assistance
Further to my aforementioned point about how hectic life can be, it doesn’t just end with childcare. In fact whilst some of us may be able to rely on family or friends to look after our children, who looks after us? A household PA will work in a domestic environment, providing household support to a couple, individual or a family. A PA can relive the somewhat more menial tasks, so that you can focus on building your empire and making the important decisions.

Babysitting
It can be incredibly difficult as a parent to find reliable babysitters. Especially when life works it’s usual magic and drops us in a suddenly tricky situation. It’s handy to know that Templeton House has a selection of not only experienced, but furthermore qualified childcare professionals on call, who can act as babysitters on short (or frequent) notice.
